Welcome to the home of Mathew, Mark ,Sandi and Pepe Pombo.  The Pombo family has been involved in racing for over 50 years with Pepe's father being one of the participants in the great Mexican road race called the Pan American in Mexico during the early 1950's. A road race that extended from the Guatemala border north to the USA border. 

Pepe Pombo begin his racing career racing motorcycles in Mexico where he won two national championships in the 1960's. After a few years off, he renewed his racing passion in the USA where he won 2 SCCA National championships and a pro racing championship during the late 1980's.

Now Mathew and Mark are continuing the winning tradition.  Both Pombo's compete in the Nationals ranks in the Southeast division of  NASA and SCCA. They compete in one of the most competitive classes in amateur racing  SpecMiata's.  It is not unusual to have a field of 50 or 60 cars running in any given event.

Mathew and Mark where practically born at the race track. Sandi  made sure that the family was together supporting dad as much as possible when he was racing. Now Pepe and Sandi are always there in support of Mathew and Mark.  Although involved in racing since they were 5 years old, the Pombos always placed education as a  priority  and now that Mathew is completing his fellowship in Orthopedic surgery and sports medicine (August 2008) and  Mark is completing his  master in Accounting, (December 2008)  they can devote more time to their passion. Racing is in their blood. Mathew and Mark are getting to be known in the SpecMuata community  for their competitive nature and their wiliness to help.
